Kaweco
Kaweco is one of the historical German companies, one of the first (preceded only by Soennecken) to enter the writing instruments market.
In the early decades of 1900, Kaweco was the main fountain pen manufacturer in Germany also competing internationally with large American companies.
Another distinctive feature of the production of the early years of the century was the variety of shapes, with conical and cylindrical caps, with interlocking or screw fastening, square or round bodies, and finishes, made with metal, silver and gold plated covers. variously worked, mother of pearl inserts, enamel decorations and the rare and sophisticated tula.
Kaweco peaked in size in the early 1920s, when it became Germany's leading manufacturer before the decline of the 1960s and today's revival.
